WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

I am very excited and counting down the days to the Sister's Keepers: Economic and Personal Empowerment Women's Conference.
This is the 2nd Annual "Sister's Keepers" event created to foster the economic and personal well being of women in and around the Tri–State area.
Several dynamic accomplished women from around the nation will be on hand to share, inspire, motivate, and cheer you on toward becoming the extraordinary woman you were created to be.
I feel so honored and blessed I was invited to participate as a speaker among these wonderful women.
Debrena Jackson Gandy, two time National Best–Selling Author, is our confirmed Keynote speaker among others to be announced.
Please do not miss this oppportunity and join us this Saturday, March 26th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The proceeds will benefit Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley.

LATINAS UNITED FOR THE CURE 2011

Latinas United for the Cure 2011 was a great success. One thousand women gathered in Philadelphia to create awareness about breast cancer.
Everything was possible thanks to the Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the American Cancer Society. Both organizations are leaders in our community's breast cancer movement. Their message is early detection saves lives.
For me it was a great pleasure to be able to serve as the Master of Ceremonies of this great event. My vision has always been to serve my community, and thanks to the time I offer as a volunteer to these causes, I am fulfilling the desires of my heart.
I thank Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Cancer Society, the doctors, and all the people who attended this annual event. The next year we hope to reunite 2,000 women. As Susan G. Komen said, "we have to change the face of this disease so women don't die."
I ask you to please take control of your health. Obtain information about the risk factors and prevention. Every time you take a step on your path to breast health, you are a winner. Please do it for you, your family, and your generations.

LATINAS UNIDAS POR LA CURA

Latinas Unidas por la Cura 2011 fue todo un éxito. Mil personas se dieron cita en la ciudad de Filadelfia para crear conciencia sobre el cáncer del seno.
Todo fue posible gracias a la afiliada de Susan G. Komen for the Cure en Filadelfia y la Sociedad Americana del Cáncer, organizaciones que luchan sin descanso para llevar el siguiente mensaje: la detección a tiempo salva vidas.
Para mi fue un gran placer poder servir como Maestra de Ceremonias de este gran evento. Siempre mi visión ha sido servir a mi comunidad y puedo decir que gracias a mi trabajo y al tiempo que ofrezco como voluntaria a estas causas, estoy logrando paso a paso ese deseo en mi corazón.
Le doy las gracias a Susan G. Komen, a la Sociedad Americana del Cáncer, a los médicos y a todas las personas que asistieron a este evento anual. El próximo año esperamos reunir a 2,000 personas. Yo se que juntos podemos cambiar el rostro de esta enfermedad para que no se sigan perdiendo vidas.
Le pido que por favor tome el control de su salud. No deje pasar el tiempo. Infórmese acerca de los factores de riesgo y la prevención. Es por usted, su familia y sus generaciones.
